just one german tekken freak ^^
another sweet cast. love the deeper discussions on lars, bob, and steve. also the idea of tekken players getting together in one place just grinding to lvl up. someone really needs to make it happen mos def! keep it up MYK, good shit bro!
Been really enjoying the podcasts. Keep up the good work! Downloading now!
strong once again..
best form of defense is a strong offense
Damn I got excited it downloaded almost all of it this time! I got 33MB of it before it quit on me.. Great job!! I love hearing top players talk about Tekken….
Yeah! Good thing coming wit something interesting like this. Great Podcast MYK. I’m really grateful. Keep up with good work waiting for more.
Yo MYK why no interviews with any of the Upstate crew yet? Don’t you want some kinda perspective on what it’s like in a place with no Tekken 6 machines for 250+ miles and how a community like that could even survive and thrive? EC this WC that, no talk of Upstate one bit. No respect.
PS: You’re getting better at this interview thing but you need to put more personality into it.
Wow really? Seriously, do you expect me to pump out an interview everyday or something? No respect huh? I’m only on episode 4, you expect me to have interviewed every player in the country by now?
Also if you haven’t noticed “upstate” New York = STILL EC! Oh, Hello!
If you’re really going to have that type of attitude about this, “OMG WHY HAVEN’T YOU INTERVIEWED SOMEONE HERE YET, WAHH.” I’d say you’re the one with no respect.
Took the words right out my mouth. These young players today….
hey myk if u give me questions to i ask i can interview peeps here to and send it to u might as well get ppl here in the south
….Man I REALLY need to realise when my joking does not translate via the internet. You can not send tone through a post. This is what gets me in trouble. I wasn’t being serious about no respect or any of it. It was more to get the idea out there. Yes Upstate would like a chance to be interviewed but I was tonge in cheek when I said it.
Not joking though, no one over here considers Upstate=/=EC. EC always referse to NYC, LI, and NJ. Maybe Maryland once in a while. But I can see location wise where you are coming from.
Wow. If possible these specific Zero posts should just straight be deleted. Does not contribute to the topic at all.
Thanks again for posting the Mirrors!!! Great job again!!
Really interesting and cool to hear thoughts from DJ Kor. Still remember how everyone was doubting him about Ganryu’s FC d/f+2 and he shut them up. Beast.
Also, I know you are already doing this MYK, but I really enjoy the parts where players talk about their mindgame mentality and how to approach learning the game. Aris’ podcast really stood out at this and DJ Kor hit some points on this too. But if you could make this a staple question or section in your interviews that would be great. DJ Kor gave me some ideas on how to learn that I think will be useful.
For me, this kind of big picture discussion is more interesting than character-specific strats because I feel like I can get those on the forums. Of course, I’m sure some will be missed so definitely keep char-specific strat discussion in the interviews as well!
Oh, also as you are doing already hearing about the top players’ bio from newb to pro is really fun and insightful as well. This should also be a staple part of these interviews.
Just some suggestions. Great job, and thanks for the generous work!
Great podcast btw mykizzle. Hearing Kor’s voice was music to my pants. <3
LOL, anyone notice Kors look like Lars on iamtekken.com’s header image file (to the right)?
They look exactly the same >.>
Kors for the next Tekken movie cast? gogo
haha i am… lars alexanderssssson!
Awesome hairstyle… How did you style your hair like that?
Great podcast btw. I really listening to them over and over. The way these pros started as newbies, their stories of how they got better and rose to the top really inspire me.
Keep it going MYK!
Nice.. aris one was the best so far (i play drag) the only criticism i have is myk u need to SPEAK UP or more into the mic or something the overall sound quality or maybe just volume need to be tweaked. anyways good work on the podcasts keep it up
Liked the podcast! Did sound a bit like people were fumbling with the mike… was that a phone connection issue?
Good mixture of game and personal interest. And I like how you’re keeping the focus on people coming within the context of interviewing good players.
Fun interview, thanks!
The real question is, how do you get hair like Kor’s?
j/p
Zero.. Stfu
you can’t spell worth shit and you don’t know what you’re talking about. Wait who was it that was on the EC 5man team at final round.. Oh yeah lingmassacre and me!! And we’re from… Oh yeah, Upstate NY!
Justin and I are part of the few that are nationally known from upstate ny, so please stop making us look like morons. I’m glad myk blocked your previous handle.
Sweet podcast mike.
(a month later, but)
This was a terrific interview! The points that each of you made, or questions raised were very good!
I never heard of tier lists. Gonna look for one now. But i would’ve liked the following question to be “What is good to read for beginners?”
I’m a newcomer to Tekken from another game and enjoy the slow, methodical process of learning a character, starting with the fundamentals, of course. But stuff like “frame something or other” sounds pretty advanced. Where you find stuff like that?
Btw, that’s a cool pic of Kor. But i always think of SSJ1 Goku when i see Lars.
