Great episode! I liked the discussion about facing other players, especially those that you don’t know and what to do in those situations.
LOL Aris failed the Orochan Ramen challenge… I was thinking about doing it the next time I ventured to LA but f— that… I don’t want to get destroyed by a bowl of soup.

Hey, for some reason all of these only download halfway or less…I saw where Di made a “mirror” for the first podcast, and that worked for me, can someone make “mirrors” for the other two?
I just wanted to expand on my previous post and elaborate a bit. Aris talked about strategy in a more general manner that was probably the most helpful thing you can do – it wasnt the character specifics that Fab and Myk were going back and forth in the prior podcast – even though that is good in it’s own right. Aris touched on a bunch of subjects that people dont really mentioned too often ,and that’s a good thing; the books, the safe moves, the aggressive tactics, then switching to a different approach, memorizing why ‘you’ lost, and keeping a mental note of that, move by move; the importance of throw breaking, mental attitude before and during matches… and the list goes on. Top notch interview here. Ironicall,y Aris mentioned he doesnt care too much about helping other players and rather practice his own shit, lol.

Haha great interview! Probably the best interview so far. Really liked the discussion about playing your opponent vs the character. Definitely gonna take that insight when I go to the arcades next time.
Sad that I have been unable to fully download or listen to any of the podcasts. Tried normal download and with a download manager and they all just magically stop at around 60-70% with no reason why.
Cool from what I was able to listen in on. Only complaint is it is hard to hear MYK, otherwise very nice.
If you download the podcast from iTunes it will download the whole thing for sure. That’s what I did.
iTunes didn’t work for me, actually nothing has, except the “mirror” link Di added to episode #1….

Great interview! I’ve heard of Aris from the SC2 days a good deal before he won the SC2 world tournament in Cannes and read up on his strategic articles back in the day. They were fascinating and I got to reading the books he mentioned. I’m kinda sad to hear he doesn’t help others as much as he did anymore. I remember the Voldo thread was ripe with valuable info. While I can understand the Machiavelli theory when it comes to competition, I feel you can still be a top player and really help others such as Justin Wong or MYK are doing.
I guess it depends on what your goals are and what kind of personality you have. My goals are to get better and have fun while doing so and I get more fun out of learning and helping others and impressing people with silly or technical stuff in a game. Regardless, I definitely appreciate the insights given in the interview from both players. Tekken 6 is gonna be the SF4 of the 3D world!

both MYK and Aris (my fav calibur player) are helpful whether in actual providing info (MYK) or just watching (Aris).. when I really wanted to play in Socal (sc4), coming from EC, Aris was definitely a huge influence through watching his game
MYK it’s great what you are doing here on this website! I asked for info about T6 in the past and you got at me right away thru TZ with mad info, thanks for that! though other life stuff sorta took over!

Best interview by far. Actually Aris had some really good insights and he seems like a veteran as well when it comes to talking about fighting game strategy.
